This pandemic was unforeseen, a black swan event, one which no one had anticipated. Suddenly overnight everything had to be shut down, schools, colleges, offices. Life as we knew it came to a standstill.
To keep the country and the economy going, there had to be immediate support functions developed which could help us lead life at home. In just a span of a few months a lot of schools and colleges were able to shift online, the shift was quite commendable as the pandemic had shaken the very roots of our education system. There could be no more in class teaching, no more face to face interactions with teachers, how would the students ever be able to learn? But we stood up to this challenge and came out stronger.
The beginning of online classes resembled resilience. Our teachers and fellow students had to move past the hurdles and challenges that online classes posed. Students had to put in extra effort to be interactive and the teachers had to find out new ways and techniques to teach their subject. But through it all we came out stronger on the other side.
Online classes have helped us to be more resilient and adjusting. At some point all of us must had faced connections issues and various other problems but we had to adapt to this new environment. At first nobody was getting comfortable or nobody was coming around to speak or just interacting with one another. But after some time the students who won’t normally speak up in class, they spoke up which was only possible through online classes. Teachers were helpful and patient with students. Also students developed new ways to study, and the teachers had to develop new methods to teach, this showed their creativity.
Now, virtual interviews are also happening, through online classes students were able to answer such interviews by being confident enough and because of virtual interview, they learnt how to frame and answer to such questions. Overall online classes helped us develop our skills and made us put more concious effort into studying. It also helped us connect with our fellow mates on one platform and has facilitated a lot of good interaction. Students connected in ways better than before and everyone became helpful and kind. We mutually understand and help.
